2014 Governor's Occupant Protection Enforcement Awards

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, would like to recognize those law enforcement officers and agencies from across the state who have saved lives through their extraordinary efforts to increase safety belt, child restraint, and booster seat usage. The 2014 Governor's Occupant Protection Enforcement Awards will be held Thursday, August 7 at the Embassy Suites in Lexington.
Call for Nominations
Your help is needed in identifying enforcement officers for the individual awards. Please submit the name of the officer in your department who issued the most safety belt, child restraint, and booster seat citations between June 11, 2013 and June 10, 2014.

How to Submit Your Nomination
To submit your nomination, complete the nomination form above. Remember to supply your email address to receive confirmation of your nomination. If you do not receive confirmation by July 11 contact Lauren Germond at the Kentucky Transportation Center at 1-800-432-0719 as we may not have received your nomination.
The nominee and one additional law enforcement official are invited to attend a luncheon on Thursday, August 7 at the Embassy Suites located at 1801 Newtown Pike in Lexington. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. (EST) with the ceremony beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. Everyone must register upon arrival.
*Due to reserved seating, there are no seats or meals for additional guests. Non-law enforcement personnel will not be permitted in the luncheon. *
It is requsted that uniforms be worn.
Overnight accommodations can be made by calling the Embassy Suites at 800-362-2779. A block of rooms reserved for the Kentucky Transportation Center is available for the rate of $119 single/double plus tax. Room reservations must be received on or before July 18. Lodging is the responsibility of the individual.
If you are unable to attend, please notify us a minimum of three (3) business days in advance.
If you are unable to attend, you are responsible for the cancellation of your overnight accommodations.
