The Technology Transfer Program is part of the Kentucky Transportation Center, which is a department within UK's College of Engineering. Commonly called T2, Technology Transfer is an immediate source of help to those who manage and maintain Kentucky's highways. A phone call away are how-to manuals, expert advice, legislative and regulatory news, training opportunities, on-site technical assistance, and a state-of-the-art transportation library. The local connection . . . The Technology Transfer Program is Kentucky's Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP). This Federal Highway Administration Program provides funding to 57 LTAP centers (one in each state and Puerto Rico and six regional centers serving American Indian tribal governments). LTAP's mission is to foster a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation system by improving the skills and knowledge of local transportation providers. The partnership and sharing amongst these 57 centers provides quick response and maximizes every dollar received.
